Thursday, May 15, we’ll be part of an all-star lineup that includes Justin Townes Earle and The Dirty 30s. We’re opening the show at 9PM so don’t be late. $10 in advance and at the door. As if you needed another reason to go to the show, it will be the debut of Trigger 5’s newest member, Steve Hitsman on pedal steel. It’s gonna be hot!

Join Trigger 5 in our South City headquarters, Iron Barley. We’ll be playing in the big room Saturday night while the legendary Fred Friction slangs and bangs cocktails at the bar. It’s not to be missed. Hope to see you there.

WHAT: Trigger 5
WHEN: Saturday, May 3, 10PM
WHERE: Iron Barley, 5510 Virginia Ave. in the heart of the South Side

PS: Thanks to everyone who joined us last weekend! We raised $450 for Bob Reuter’s heart surgery fund. He was thrilled and so were we.

Twangioplasty 4/26

We’re having a fund raiser for Bob Reuter’s heart at the Tap Room on 4/26.

Come out and give a little while getting your fill of fine country music and Schlafly beer. We’ll be donating all of our take (plus any donations we can drum up from you during the show) to St. Louis songwriter/photographer/writer/icon, Bob Reuter as he recovers from his open heart surgery.

He has medical bills that need paying. You have money that needs spending. We have music that needs playing. We couldn’t think of a better combination.

WHAT: Twangioplasty feat. Trigger 5 and Tenement Ruth
WHEN: Saturday, April 26, 9PM
WHERE: The Schlafly Tap Room, 2100 Locust

Donations accepted during show.

There’s a country showcase this Sunday at the Feisty Bulldog and we’ll be playing with 3 other bands. The venue is super sweet and the beer is super cold. And it is Sunday, so hoist a Bud (or the beverage of your choice) for God’s sake.
C’mon out! We’d love to see you.

WHAT: Trigger 5, Honky Tonk G Spot, The Bearded Babies & Doc Ellis

WHEN: Sunday, April 13, 7PM
WHERE: The Feisty Bulldog (on Laclede’s Landing), I believe we’re playing in the basement bar

Flying Fingers

Joe Maphis and Larry Collins. A real jaw-dropper.

The Glass Factory 3/21

Ok, it’s always a hoot playing the 3rd Degree Glass Factory. And there’s more than an outside chance somebody will get drunk and knock over a sculpture worth over $200. There’ll be glass blowing, fire flinging, country music and liquor. If there isn’t a reason that you like in that bunch, there’s little hope for you. See you from 7 -10PM this Friday, March 21. Get directions here.l_9bdff3b7b993e0a72d014ecaa61ed2e0.jpg

Ten Mile House 3/15

We’re making a return to the Ten Mile House on Saturday, 3/15. We’re playing with another country outfit called Wheel Horse. It’s always fun. LIVE You Can’t Beat Jesus Christ So get ready to be saved . EVEN YOU HUSTLA! 1007723921_l.jpg

Request us at KDHX

We received airplay twice last week from our favorite St. Louis community radio station — 88.1 KDHX. Mr. Gene Roberts played “Candy Cigarette” on his Country Junction, Bluegrass Function Show. A show that plays “mighty fine” music every Tuesday morning. And to follow that up, our friendly neighborhood Fred Friction gave “Who’s That Man?” a spin on his Fishing With Dynamite show Thursday afternoon. We cannot thank them enough.  Don’t forget to request Trigger 5 on any KDHX show that plays country music. We’d be much obliged.
